It's Been A Minute!

It’s been a rather turbulent year for us all, some more-so than others. Though, I believe 2020 has proven to us lessons we would not have slowed down for otherwise. Many of us have grown closer to family (blood or chosen), some have started new business, picked up amazing skills & hobbies, and most importantly —- many of us took the time to really analyze our spaces to go HAM with selfcare. I think that’s the silver-lining to what has transpired throughout this little year of ours.

As for Habtoons, we expanded into the world of Twitch and streaming at large. I’ll be honest, I did burn myself out every once in a while but I’m glad I stuck through majority of the plans I laid out for myself. EPIC Ethel had become the major focus of the brand, started to take INPRNT and YouTube a bit more serious, and I really tried to step my Twitter game up too, among other things. So to say “busy” may not even cut it, haha!

Now, for the important news: EPIC Ethel will be on break through to Jan 2021. This will be the LAST break for the “To Do or Die in Bedstuy” Chapter. The story WILL be finished and wrapped in January! I’m so glad many of you have enjoyed seeing a new take on our hot-headed antihero and the story as a whole. I’ll admit, a lot of it did change due to time constraints but I’m very proud of what I’ve accomplished so far.

In regards to Twitch, I’ll be taking a break from streaming from 12/23 through 1/4. There will be, however, pre-recorded content uploaded to Youtube to tide you over until the LIVES come back.

Patreon will see a “major” overhaul with more integration with the Habtoons Discord. Now that I have a streaming setup and newer recording equipment, I can create more Patron-only video content and streams! I’ve taken some time to revamp some ideas and will have a few polls for what you, the patrons, would be interested in seeing; especially as you all are PAYING for this experience. More on this soon!

New projects, comics, and events are in development for Q1 2021 with, new graphic novel series, Bedstuy Sword Guy at the forefront. I can’t wait to share this one with you as it has been sitting on the backburner for such a long time. For you eagle-eyed readers, make sure you pay attention in the final pages of EPIC Ethel: TDODIB, just a heads up.

I promise to become more active with both blogging and vlogging so expect another one of these before the year is over. More info to come!
