It's Certainly Been A WHILE...
What’s up, Goblin Goons! If I’ve done this correctly, you MAY be seeing this in your e-mail too.
Wow, the last time I updated this section was in January. That’s TOO long of a gap and I need to utiliize this feature better, haha! Quite a few things have been going on since January, haha!
Firstly , you’re now called Goblin Goons! I’ve thought long and hard about my branding and how I wanted to centralize my community; since I draw little goblins it just made sense! Secondly, the year (notably last couple of months) has been extremely busy. Over the pandemic I got into Twitch Streaming and most recently left that platform to focus fully on Youtube Streaming & Content. I learned so much from my experience from Twitch but I realized that site wasn’t exactly for me. One day I may dabble in that platform again but for now, Youtube is where our home is!
There will be new videos & livestreams every week AND new shorts daily. Honestly, shorts have really bolstered the channel and the growth has been both steady and amazing thus far! If you haven’t subscribed to the channel yet, please make sure you do to stay up to date!
As of right now, as seen above, I’m currently keeping steady with timelapse videos but in the coming weeks to months, I’ll be expanding to other types of video content. I can’t speak on what any of it is yet but I know you’ll enjoy everything once the ball gets rolling!
This is where I work. I’m constantly upgrading and improving with the little space that I have. I’ll always seek to want “more” but I am enjoying the current state of my work area now. I try to keep it as orderly as possible because being messy drives me insane, though I know many artists thrive in “mess”, haha! I wanted to share this photo as maybe you’ll find some inspiration and gain some ideas on your space OR tell me how I can improve mine some more! Maybe I’ll do a short video tour one day. If you DO want to share your own desk space, I’d love to see what you’re working with.
I started a new project, it wasn’t necessarily planned and came out of the blue. During the month of October, many online-arts communities create & participate in challenges for the entire month, such as Inktober. The goal is to draw from a series of prompt lists, uploading a new work each day corresponding to that day’s particular prompt. Initially, I was going to partake in Blacktober (the anti-Inktober initiative) and ended up creating this series instead. Sweaty Minds can be read across social platforms including Instagram, Twitter, Tapas, and Webtoon. The series centers around the anxious inner thoughts and nonsensical colloqualisms we entertain on a day-to-day basis. So far, the reception has been quite positive and I have been have mad fun creating it. At the time of writing this, there’s only a few days left for the first half of this series. I do plan on keeping this going but after some time to focus on projects I have on the backburner.
In case you’ve been out of the loop, ya boy is in the merch game now. I’ve got some really amazing things over at the shop and I’m so amazed at the reception so far! You can see some fantastic fan photos over on Facebook and Instagram (Story Highlights), y’all looking GOOD in my gear! While, as mentioned earlier, I can’t go into the finer details of what’s coming, I am developing new materials and items for the shop coming in the next couple months. The response to the Printable Coloring Book definitely put a flame under my ass, so expect more of those too! As for “upcoming” projects, expect to see some EPIC Ethel-related news soon. I’m serious. And, if you’re a Patron and have been wondering about the Patron-Only series, Undergorgon, I’ll have news for you too!
Again, I’ll keep this steady and I hope to see you around the social media space very soon!
